What causes skin texture & pores?
Skin texture is how smooth or rough your skin looks and feels. Rough texture often comes from a buildup of dead skin cells, clogged pores, sun damage or a slow-down in skin renewal with age.
Pores are the openings of hair follicles and oil glands. You can’t close them or make them go away, but they can look larger when they’re clogged with oil or when the skin around them loses firmness. Treatments aim to make pores look smaller and skin look smoother.

An honest note: No treatment can permanently shrink pores, because pore size is partly set by genetics. We can help pores look smaller and skin look smoother. Can large pores be shrunk?
Pores can’t be closed or permanently shrunk. What we can do is clear out oil and buildup and support firmer skin around each pore, which helps pores look smaller. Results vary from person to person.
What does DiamondGlow® do for pores?
DiamondGlow® exfoliates the surface, draws out debris from pores and infuses a serum in one pass. The Clarifying option uses a salicylic-acid serum for oily skin. Most people notice smoother, cleaner-feeling skin right after.
Is microneedling good for texture?
Microneedling is often used to improve uneven texture because it prompts the skin to build new collagen. The change is gradual and usually takes a series of sessions. Your provider will tell you whether it fits your skin.
How often should I get a facial?
Many people book a DiamondGlow® facial about once a month, which lines up with the skin’s natural renewal cycle. Your provider can suggest a schedule that fits your skin and goals.
Is there downtime?
DiamondGlow® has no downtime. Microneedling usually causes redness for 1–2 days. The Perfect Derma™ Peel causes about a week of peeling, so plan around events.
Can treatments be combined?
Yes. A common plan pairs regular facials for upkeep with a series of microneedling or peels for deeper texture. Your provider will plan the order and spacing so your skin has time to recover.
What can I do at home?
Wear sunscreen every day, cleanse gently and avoid picking at pores. Your provider can suggest home products that suit your skin type.
